Meet Assembly: predict, run, inspect

Meet Assembly begins with a border colour and finishes with a moving character you can investigate instruction by instruction. Each of its eight lessons includes editable source, the Asm198x assembler and a working 48K Spectrum.

Design an eight-row picture, follow the real writes of a drawing loop, inspect CALL and RET, read keys and give movement a frame clock. The final lesson guides you through one fault, then asks you to investigate another with less help. Predictions stay separate from the machine’s actual registers and memory.

No BASIC or previous programming experience is required. Save your source and build it locally with Asm198x or Pasmo when you want to take it out of the page.
