The shipped games learned to be lost

Flock's loss state on the Amiga: the flock strip empty, no sheep on the field, the water and road running on under the lament.

A game isn’t finished until you can drive it to both endings and watch each arrive. So every shipped game got a pass to make sure it has real stakes — a win you have to earn, and a loss you can genuinely hit.

Not all of them managed it. Flock showed its win — a full fold, the shepherd’s bonus — but never its loss; it just played a sad little tune and slipped back to the title. Now it shows the emptied field too (above). A couple of the Spectrum games carried a latent bug that granted the dawn on the exact frame the night should have taken it — a win you didn’t earn. And one Amiga crossing could be shuffled instead of aimed, quietly removing the risk.

All closed, and each fix checked the honest way: driven to the ending on a cycle-accurate emulator and watched, not asserted.
