The Wonderland series is Censor Design’s monument on the Commodore 64. Across its installments it became a byword for top-tier C64 work — productions where the coding, the graphics, and the SID soundtrack all hit the same high level, pulling effects from the 1982 machine that seemed to exceed its budget.
For many, the Wonderland demos are the answer to anyone who assumes the 8-bit C64 couldn’t keep pace with 16-bit machines for sheer craft. The series helped fix Censor at the very top of the C64 scene.
