On the Commodore 64, the name Censor Design carries the weight Fairlight or Phenomena carry elsewhere. The Swedish group’s Wonderland demo series became a benchmark — productions where coding, graphics, and SID music all hit the top of their game simultaneously, wringing effects from the 1982 machine that seemed to defy it.
Censor helped prove the C64 scene could match the Amiga’s for craft and ambition, on hardware with a fraction of the headroom.
