Formed in 1986, Genesis Project cracked, released, and made intros across the C64's whole life — and, unusually, is still active across platforms decades later.
Genesis Project — GP — is one of the great survivors of the scene. Formed in 1986 (its name lifted from Star Trek’s terraforming “Project Genesis”), it was a Commodore 64 cracking group that, like the best of them, treated the intro fronting each release as a craft in its own right.
What sets GP apart is endurance. Where most cracking crews burned out in a few intense years, GP kept going — through line-up changes, a long-lived PC branch, and a full C64 reboot in 2009 — and remains active on the C64 and beyond, a living thread back to the cracking scene’s heyday.

Intros across the eras
