Germany's Easter party, and its bloodline
Formed by merging two earlier parties, Mekka & Symposium anchored the German Easter scene from 1996 to 2002 — and its lineage runs straight to Breakpoint and Revision.
Overview
Mekka & Symposium — “MS” — was born in 1996 from the merger of two existing German parties, Mekka and Symposium, and ran each Easter through 2002. For those years it was a centre of gravity for the European scene, especially strong on the Amiga and PC sides.
Its real significance, though, is dynastic. When MS ended, the German Easter slot passed to Breakpoint (2003–2010), and when that closed, to Revision (2011 onward). Trace today’s flagship Easter party back and the line runs through MS.
