Overview

“DAYTONAAAAAA!” Takenobu Mitsuyoshi’s vocals became inseparable from the racing. Daytona USA combined Model 2’s revolutionary texture mapping with accessible NASCAR-style racing. The linked cabinets let eight players compete simultaneously. The Saturn port disappointed technically but the arcade experience remained pure joy—speed, spectacle, and song.
