Overview
Nexus 7, by Andromeda, is one of the demos people reach for when describing the Amiga’s AGA generation at its best. Released at the end of 1994 and winning first place at The Party, it used the newer chipset’s extra colour and muscle in the service of a coherent, confident piece of design rather than a parade of disconnected effects.
It arrived a year after Kefrens’ Desert Dream had set the bar at the same event, and it cleared it — evidence that the Amiga scene kept raising its own game even as the platform aged.
