Amiga Format

Amiga Format was Future Publishing’s flagship Amiga magazine, running from 1989 to 2000. It did not start from nothing: for eighteen issues, from July 1988 to July 1989, Future had published ST/Amiga Format, a single magazine covering both 16-bit machines. Amiga Format issue 1 is dated August 1989, the month after that combined title’s last — the Amiga side given its own magazine once the platform could carry one. It provided comprehensive coverage of the Amiga platform with professional journalism, extensive cover disk content, and dedicated support through the platform’s entire commercial lifespan.
