Andromeda
Danish AGA royalty
Andromeda were among the standout Amiga groups of the mid-1990s, their demo Nexus 7 winning The Party 1994 and showcasing what the AGA chipset could do.
Overview
Andromeda were one of the Danish scene’s strongest Amiga groups, hitting their peak as the AGA chipset opened new headroom on the A1200 and A4000. Their 1994 demo Nexus 7 took first place at The Party — the same Danish event that had hosted Kefrens’ Desert Dream a year earlier — and remains a touchstone of mid-90s Amiga design.
The group’s work sat at the confident, polished end of the scene, where strong art direction mattered as much as raw effects.
